We author and maintain Brand Context Protocol (BCP) — the open standard for machine-readable brand identity — and we run the consulting and monitoring services built on top of it. ## What we believe Brand is more valuable in the agentic age, not less. Most companies will get that wrong. They'll treat brand as a cost center to automate past and discover too late that the agents running their marketing — internal, vendor, and consumer-facing — have been reconstructing their identity from whatever signals happen to be available. The brands that win will be the ones whose strategy, voice, and judgment are encoded into the system itself, authored once, read everywhere. That's what Tacit does. ## What we do Three things, in order of how a customer meets us: 1. **We maintain the open standard.** BCP is a specification — hierarchical markdown files at `domain/.well-known/brand.md`, structurally analogous to AGENTS.md and MCP. The spec is published under CC BY 4.0; the reference code is MIT. Anyone can adopt it. 2. **We encode brands into BCP.** Consulting engagements, from $1,500 expert sessions to $150K enterprise work, that translate a brand's tacit craft into a machine-readable file tree. The output is a Git repo the brand owns. 3. **We run the living layer on top.** Drift detection across owned surfaces, vendor platforms, and consumer agents. Versioning. Quarterly and annual review cadence. Brand fidelity as a managed discipline — the way companies buy security monitoring or observability. ## Three consumption surfaces BCP is read in three places, and we design for all three: - **Inside the brand.** The brand's own marketing agents — copy, creative, media, compliance — consume BCP to preserve senior-strategist judgment at machine scale. - **Across the vendor stack.** Their agents read BCP to make better decisions on the brand's behalf. BCP is the brand-specific calibration layer that currently reaches those systems through imperfect, high-latency channels — interviews, account-rep notes, reconstructed intent. - **Beyond the brand.** Consumer-facing agents — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, agentic storefronts — read BCP to describe the brand as the brand wants to be described. ## Who we're for Three audiences: brand leaders building marketing in the age of the agent (CMOs, heads of brand, founders of brand-serious companies), platform partners whose agents make decisions on brands' behalf (vendor platforms, DSPs, creative-gen tools), and developers and protocol designers who will decide whether this standard is serious. ## What we're not Not a closed SaaS.
